Great post! I can attest to what comes about when someone is watching. I just picked up a consulting client simply due to my reputation with one of the Senior Vice Presidents of the company. There was no need to compete for the position as it was mine because of my relationship with the Senior Vice President and my personal branding. One last comment – I did not need to use a resume!

Very true…I now have clients in my condo building and I have to say, it is tough not being able to just run out to the trash without makeup and hair done! But it has certainly made me aware of the fact that the next client could be anywhere!
